Halong Exploration and Cat Ba Discovery
ITINERARY
Day 1: Hanoi – Halong Bay (L, D)
| Am: | Be picked up at your hotel from 8h00 for 3.5 hour bus ride through the country side of the Red River Delta to Ha Long City. Upon arrival, aboard Halong Phoenix Cruiser, fresh seafood lunch (vegetable menu available) would be served while the boat is gliding out.

| Pm: | A short tender ride from the middle of the bay to an island for the famous Sung Sot Cave. As the sun sets over the bay, you are free to swim from your boat or just relax on sundeck with your favorite drink. Dinner is served with typically local seafood and overnight on boat. |
Day 2: Halong Bay Kayaking (B, L, D)
| Am: | Rise up for a breath taking on sundeck, be ready with your camera for a stunning vista in the serene bay. After breakfast, a kayaking support boat will take you further to the Southern end of Halong bay to anchor in the tranquil beauty of Lan Ha, away from the overcrowded water areas. Learn some basic paddling techniques, and then make your own strokes and private beaches hopping. | |
| Pm: | Lunch (BBQ lunch on beach is at tidal permission) and swim at a private beach. More kayaking for more deserted lagoons and exploring quiet floating village. Then comes a perfect time to take in the views in the cool of the afternoon, as the last rays of the sun cast reflections over this beautiful area. You would be back on the Phoenix Cruiser at the end of the afternoon. Dinner and overnight on boat. |
Day 3: Halong Bay – Cat Ba Island (B, L, D)
| Am: | After breakfast, leaving Halong Phoenix Cruiser on a local support boat to head South for Cat Ba Island. A quick bus ride to nearby Cannon Fort, Cat Ba Market, and then head up to Catba Ecolodge for lunch.

| Pm: | Pick your own bike then weave through the plain (bus supports behind). Green vegetable garden that surround the mountains will give a fascinating insight of countryside before hitting to secluded and privilege beach for swimming. Vietnamese diner and overnight in Cat Ba Ecolodge (formerly Suoi Goi Resort). |
| Am: | Breakfast then walk around the village. Relax with a cooking class at
the resort to learn some recipes and techniques that go into the most
popular dish of the Vietnamese food. Lunch would be served when you
finish your cook.

| Pm: | We take you to Cai Vieng harbor for a hydrofoil boat ride to Hai Phong
City. Be picked up by our vehicle then drive back to Hanoi. Trip ends at
your hotel around 16h30. |

Children policy:
- Children under 4 years old will be free of charge (maximum of one)
- Children between 4 and 9 years old:
- Sharing bed with adult will be charged 50% adult price
- Sharing cabin with adult will be charged 70% adult price
- Children over 9 years old pay adult price
- Two children under 9 years old sharing a cabin will be charged 75% full cabin rate
Compulsory diners:
Surcharge 525,000 VND per person for compulsory dinner on following periods:
- December 24th, 2011
- December 31st, 2011
- January 22nd, 2012
TRIP NOTES
What to bring:
- Original passport
- Water, favorite snacks
- Sunglasses, swimming suite and towel for a quick swim (warm clothes in winter)
- Money for drinks (on boat or at resort)
